For today.....Thursday, March 1, 2012
Outside my window....it been raining off and on since yesterday. The sky is still grey and cloudy, though the sun looks like it's trying to break through. There is also a strong, cold breeze blowing. The current temperature is 56 degrees.
I am thinking.....I've been absent from blogging a lot longer than I thought I would be. We have been very busy lately, but I've also had a difficult time thinking of things to blog about. And on top of that, my laptop crashed for a few days too. Thankfully it was an easy fix, we just needed to buy a new power adapter. :)
In the kitchen.....Michelle will be home early from school tonight, so I'm fixing her favorite dinner of macaroni and cheese. Also fixing a big green salad to go with it.
I am wearing.....a blue jean skirt, a light pink sweater, a lavender fleece jacket.
I am going.....William and I went to an eye appointment this morning for our annual exams. Thankfully my eyes are doing well, and I didn't have to buy new glasses. :)
I am reading....It's Just My Nature, by Carol Tuttle.
I am hearing.....I'm watching an episode of the old tv series Perry Mason. The Hallmark Movie Channel now has the series on. I remember watching this when I was a very young girl.
A peek into my day....a welcome to the month of March.

Around the house..... I'm doing the laundry today, and I plan to do housework tomorrow.
One of my favorite things.....this might sound silly, but I just recently rediscovered the 'Delay' function on my dishwasher. And it has become one of my favorite things! When my dishwasher is filled after dinner I punch in how many hours I want it to delay before starting. I don't know why I didn't use it before...and I can't tell you how many times I forgot to start the dishwasher just before going to bed at night. :) So I'm thankful for the 'Delay' button!
A few plans for the rest of the week.....we babysat Parker earlier this week. Today was our eye exams. Housework, laundry, and running errands are on the schedule for the rest of the week.
A peek into my day....a welcome to the month of March.
March
March is an in between month,
When wintry winds are high.
But milder days remind us all,
Spring's coming by and by.

Hi Susan, Sounds like you are experiencing the weather we had yesterday. Mac and Cheese will be very good on a rainy, cold evening! My mom, brother and I were big Perry Mason fans.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got a good report on your eyes. I had my bi-yearly dental exam and also got a good report today. Glad that is over with! Today, we are enjoying bright sunshine and highs in the 70's. Hopefully, you will get sunshine for the weekend. Nice to see an update from you. God bless you and yours this weekend.
I've missed you Susan....things have been very quiet lately in my little circle of the blog world and I've been missing my bloggy-buddies. :o)
ReplyDeleteBe careful starting your dishwasher before bed....I've done it for years too until recently when I read on a blog how hers overflowed (what a mess!) and the repairman said we should never run our dishwashers when we're not around to keep a bit of an eye on it.
Happy March!
Hi Susan...I have not had much to share on my "little space" as well! It is always nice to hear the happenings going on with you and your family! Simple Blessings ♥ Teri
ReplyDeleteHi Susan B!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your eye exam went so well, but it IS fun to get new glasses. He he!
Macaroni and cheese sounds delicious on this cold Denver day!
God be with you, friend!
So good to catch up with you again Susan!
ReplyDeleteSo great that your eyes haven't changed...I also had my eye exam in the last month and now have progressive glasses. It's so great that there is such a wonderful thing as this!
I will have to check my dishwasher for this feature...its my favourite appliance and I'm not ashamed to say so! :)
It works hard for us doesn't it Susan...saving time to do other important things.
Have a great weekend friend xo

Hi Susan as always I enjoy reading your daybook! I have recently, since being ill, started watching Perry Mason again and have enjoyed them. I like it because it doesn't have all the violence that the new detective shows have, and it gives me a chance to figure out "whodunit". ~smile~
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
Thank you for your concern and prayers,I am doing so much better.
Hugs,
Sue
I sure do understand about blogging!! One thing about it to me is meeting good friends like yourself, I just miss hearing about you all and can't wait to get back at it to see how blog friends are doing! Enjoy your little Parker, kiss and hug him as much as you can...he's a cutey!!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy weekend dear friend!!
Happy March! Perry Mason was my mother's favorite TV show. I remember watching it a many Saturdays with her.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gina
Hi Susan!
ReplyDeleteYou and I have both been gone for a while! Someone else said that there has been a lull in blogging lately - I think there always is this time of year. Sounds like you have been keeping busy with everyday things and grands...aren't they wonderful?! Mine just left, so now it's my down time... ;0)
I just loved to watch Perry Mason - I will have to check that out! I need to start using my delay button on my dishwasher - thanks for the reminder!!
Hugs,
Barb
Hi, Susan,
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I've not been around much lately, either.
My husband loves the old Perry Mason shows, too, & has watched them many times over the years.
