Hello! I hope that everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! The days since Christmas have been busy, and I haven't had much time to blog.
We had a lovely Christmas Day at my brother David's house. It was a small family gathering that was low key, and relaxing. William picked up his sweet mother that day and she spent the next few days with us. It was nice to have her visit! I enjoy her company. She has such a wonderful sense of humor, and is so young at heart! She celebrated her 93rd birthday on December 30th. I hope I'm doing as well when I'm her age.
Parker and Great Grandma Eva
Megan, Ric and Parker spent Christmas in Southern California with Ric's family. So we celebrated Christmas with them on December 28th. We had a lovely lunch, and then opened presents.
Parker opening presents with Grandpa. :)
Books from Aunt Michelle.
Waking up after a nap. ♥
William and I went away over night for New Year's Eve. Michelle asked if she could have a couple of friends over, so we decided to spend the night away from home. New Year's Eve day we headed out and drove to the Cabela's store outside of Reno, Nevada. William was in fishing heaven!! :) Afterwards, we drove to Grass Valley (located in our local foothills) to spend the night, and welcome in the New Year! :) We enjoyed our night away, and Michelle had fun with her friends!
I took down all the Christmas decorations yesterday. I'm always sad to put them away, but it's nice to have the house back in order again. Today I went to Megan's and helped her while she babysat a friend's baby. She is two weeks older than Parker, and is a little doll! I had a lot of fun helping Megan with both babies. We watched a couple of Jane Austen movies, and enjoyed hanging out together with the wee ones! :)
I hope everyone is enjoying this first week of 2012!!

Happy New Year to you and your family. Thanks for sharing the wonderful pics. Parker is growing so fast.

Hi, Susan,
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed looking at all your pictures! :)
I'm glad you had a nice visit with William's mom. Happy belated birthday to her!
All of our decorations are down too, except for the outside lights. It's very cold right now, so my husband is going to wait a bit until it warms up.
Have a great week! :)
