The Simple Woman's Daybook

For today...Wednesday, November 30, 2011

Outside my window...the last few days have been foggy, overcast and grey. But today is bright and sunny, with a bit of a breeze. The forecast for today is 62 degrees.

I am thinking....It's hard to believe that today is the last day of November, and the Christmas season is upon us.  We don't have our decorations up yet, but plan to put them up this Friday evening. I love decorating for Christmas and can't wait to see them up! :)

I am thankful...for bright and sunny days!

In the kitchen...we had the last of the Thanksgiving leftovers a earlier this week. I'm not sure what I want to fix for dinner tonight...maybe spaghetti and a green salad.

I am wearing...a denim skirt, a slate blue long sleeved top, light blue hoodie sweatshirt.

I am going...Megan has today off of work, so we don't have Parker.   I'm going to do some house work this morning. I'd also like to do some Christmas shopping this afternoon, and stop at Starbucks for a treat! :)

I'm taking Mom in for her regular lab work on Friday. I talked to her yesterday and she has a bad cold, so I don't know if she will feel up to going. I'll call her tomorrow and see how she is doing. I pray she feels better soon.

I am reading...reading another one of my 'Murder, She Wrote' mysteries.

I am hearing...the house is very quiet. Michelle is at work this morning, so it's just William and me. The tv is off, and William is reading a book.

Around the house...some house cleaning needs to be done this morning.  I need to decide how where I'm going to put our Christmas decorations for this year.

One of my favorite things...putting up Christmas decorations! :)

A few plans for the rest of the week...Christmas shopping, taking Mom to the lab on Friday, church on Sunday.
