D'artagnan And Tigger

I've been busy the last three days doing some 'fall' cleaning around my house. I'm finished with all I want to do for this week. Tomorrow William and I are going to Costco, so I'm writing my list (as I'm writing this post). I'll double check it in the morning before we go.

I have some new pictures of D'artagnan. He'll be six months old in another ten days! It's hard to believe, the time has gone by fast! He's been having a hard time since Michelle went back to school. He was so used to her being home, and now she's gone in the mornings, and sometimes in the afternoon or evenings when she has to work. So he's been a little sad! William and I play with him, but it isn't the same. :( This is his favorite place to sleep when she's gone, by the front door (or close to the front door). I'm hoping as time goes by he'll adjust to her being gone, and perk up more during the day.

Tigger is a cat that lives down the street in our neighborhood. He is a very friendly cat, and for some reason, he's chosen to be friends with D'artagnan. He will jump over our backyard fence, meow at the back door, then have 'play time' with D'artagnan. It's so cute! He came over this morning, and I was able to get some photos of them playing.

They wrestle around taking turns being the aggressor. Some times Tigger wins, sometimes D'artagnan wins. Tigger seems to know D'artagnan is a puppy, and is always gentle with him.

Tigger is an older cat, so they need to take breaks.

Then it's time to start again! :)

William and Michelle take D'artagnan for a walk after dinner most nights. Tigger also goes along with them. He will sometimes wait for them in our front yard, or wait for them down the street! He will follow behind, or sometimes run along side them through the neighborhood yards. It's rare that he doesn't go with them.

I've never seen a cat and dog have a friendship like this before...it's very sweet. We enjoy watching them whenever they are together. :)

  3. Both puppy and kitty are *so* adorable, and how amazing that they're friends and Tigger goes on walks (!) with his buddy and your family. I'm thinking they should be renamed. Jonathon and David. :o)

  8. We used to have a dog and cat that would eat from the same dish. I'll have to post a photo of it. They didn't know they were supposed to be enemies :-) These are so cute.
